We are extremely excited to welcome the truly awesome Shoes and Socks Off to the growing Father Figure family. This is one act we’ve been excited about for quite some time. The band has toured with Dad Rocks! on a 10-date UK tour, so these guys are no strangers.

Shoes And Socks Off is the solo project of ex-Meet Me in St. Louis front man, and former Shield Your Eyes bassist, Toby Hayes. Sometimes he has a beard, sometimes he doesn’t. He likes hip-hop beats. And doesn’t like social networking sites.

‘Miles Of Mad Water’ is a Shoes And Socks Off album unlike any other. Moving away from stubbed-toe blues and acoustic melancholia that his fans have come to expect, his fifth record draws more upon the experimental electronic influences of Radiohead and beat-driven, avant-garde melodies of Autolux. Set for release on May 14th, the album features a blend of his classic solo acoustic offerings alongside full band recordings. From the delicate opener of ‘And No Ones Seen Him Since’, through to recent live staple ‘Made’ to the string-laden ‘All Mouth’, the album showcases Hayes’ ever-continuing growth as a solo writer and weaves together a wide range of influences and new cast of musicians with typical DIY skill.

We’re very happy to announce that Dad Rocks! has been signed to Projekta Management, who are based in London, Reykjavík and Bruxelles. The Local, a UK based booking agency, have also joined the Dad Rocks! team, and will be taking care of bookings in the UK, and various other countries. In other news Dad Rocks! has also joined the roser of the great Scandinavian for Danish territory.

We’re happy to be working with these unit on the Dad Rocks! project.
